Ajmera Summit is located on CST road, Santacruz (East) on the outskirts of BandraKurla Complex. The clients’ brief was to create an ECO FRIENDLY building with passive environmental strategies. The final owner could be a single party (owner of the entire structure)or multiple users (i.e. one user per floor). Also, a view of the BandraKurla complex, lying to the south and the south east, was considered an essential prerequisite. The recent influx of diamond traders to this region was another motivating factor in the mind of our clients.
It aims to provide an alternative with interweaving open social spaces, and closed workspaces. Every office floor plate has a dedicated double-height terrace . The towers work on a three-floor low rise office typology that is stacked vertically . spatial sculpting was the predominant theme.
Located in Santacruz East, this small plot of 500 sq. m came with big challenges, these included providing multi- level parking without ramp, construction of an electrical substation and also providing a frontage and view towards the South and South East with design elements which would cut down heat gain. The designs intend was to create an innovative, eco- friendly building with passive environmental strategies.
The staircase, lobby and lift sit together and form an off – center core, leaving rest of the area for office spaces. Every office floor plate has a double- height terrace which provides a multipurpose, recreational place to enhance the user’s experience. High performance glass, vertical and horizontal elements along with terra cotta finish dry cladding tiles have been used to accentuate the height of the building and provide a permanent finish for exteriors.
